Profile Science was established in 2015 to provide environmental services in the field of contaminated land and water. Our staff bring together the science and the mechanical skills to provide practical solutions for industry. We work with our clients to understand and meet their unique individual needs. We have the technical experience to deliver quality work in a professional and safe manner.
A brief introduction to our directors’ skills are below.

Dr Gillian Kopittke (B. Land Resource Science (Hons), MPhil (Mining Engineering), PhD (Soil Science)
Gillian has more than 18 years’ experience consulting in the contaminated land and mining sectors, and in academia in Australia and the Netherlands in soil science research. She currently is a Director of Profile Science Pty Ltd, undertaking environmental and remediation projects in Qld, NSW and ACT. This includes conducting and reviewing of preliminary and detailed site investigations, environmental monitoring, and remediation programs. Gillian also manages a number of legacy sites with long environmental / remediation histories, bringing them through to successful conclusions for an oil major client. She is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) with a specialisation in Contaminated Site Assessment and Management, and she is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) with a Site Contamination specialisation. She is an effective communicator of scientific topics to a wide audience and has presented training to Soil Science Australia (SSA) members, scientific seminars at international conferences and was a guest lecturer at the University of Amsterdam.
